FAQS

Please see the “Services” page for information about this.

The main reason most people find they need a wheel balance is to remove vibration (and sometimes, unusual tyre noise) that you can feel in the steering wheel or through your seat (usually when driving at speeds above 80kph or so).

For further information, please see “Tyre and Wheel Service” page.

This is done to correct uneven tyre wear or when the vehicle pulls to one side (regardless of your speed) or seems to wander on straight roads. For further information, please see “Tyres and Wheel Service” page.

We are happy to provide a written quote for work required – this is generally valid for a period of one month from the quotation date.

Be sure to read this properly so you know what you will be getting, and what the final cost will be, before the job is done.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you don’t understand or are not sure about something (keep asking until you are satisfied!).

We stock a large range of regularly used spare parts for many vehicles, but some are ordered in as required, due to space availability.

For most jobs, you will need to book in advance. Please allow a week before to ensure we can fit you in for a convenient day and time.

Blue slips may require a week’s notice too. Rego checks can usually be booked in for the same or for next day.

Don’t wait until the day before you plan to drive interstate to get a service or repairs, etc. done.

Book in well before your trip in case necessary parts can’t be obtained immediately or we can’t fit you in straight away.

Jobs ahead of yours that were booked in are just as important to those owners as yours is to you!

For services or some other work on your vehicle, we may ask you to leave it with us all day even though the work to be done may only take a couple of hours.

This allows time for the vehicle to cool down so we can safely touch engine parts, etc; to order and receive parts or to cover any unexpected issues, should they arise.

If you will require your vehicle sooner than that, please advise us when you are booking it in so we can plan around it to ensure it is ready for you.

Most jobs are completed within the day. If we believe it will take longer than that, this will be discussed with you beforehand.

Rego checks take about ½ hour to do, while you wait but we prefer that you book them in.

Blue slips take about 1 hour or so and must be booked in advance. You can wait for the vehicle, or drop it off and pick it up later in the day.

If your vehicle comes with an owner’s manual that is where you find lots of information.

You will often find the answer to many of your questions relating to problems or operating different features of your vehicle.

It will also give you information relating to the required servicing schedule, etc.

However, if this doesn’t help, we are happy to provide advice and information relating to your vehicle.
